We think this is one of the better things to do during the day when it's really hot outside or when the thunderstorms strike. Yes, do not get the rainy day blues when you're in Orlando, as this town is always fired up! Music is everywhere and that really helps out when you are walking around Checking Out the Shops. They have a big events here too, we enjoyed the musicals.
Modern and very advanced, the architecture is really neat and makes things a little bit better than the old-style mall. In the center it feels kind of like being at a big indoor baseball stadium or concert arena. Shopping is endless and only your budget will be slow you down!
Orlando offers great shopping and this is the best in town for bargain shopping. But you have to get the newspaper and cut out the Sunday coupons. I also like the area in general as Orlando has lots of outlet stores and malls. Downtown Disney is great. And yes, Ikea has all the high-end home designer goods.
For younger kids, try the buy and sell approach they offer at Once Upon A Child. What a great operation and it is Florida's largest children's resale franchise. Find it at 4900 East Colonial Drive, 20 minutes or less from Disney.
