We gave up on booking standard rooms in Orlando when you have so many suites with miniature kitchens. I really liked staying here along the fun zone called International Drive. I would compare it very favorably to the Fairfield Inn Marriott Hotel. It's in the same price point as most of the other brand-name solid offerings in the hotel industry of the area.
My personal opinion is the breakfast is a lot better when you're eating in a open seven-story courtyard, rather than the crammed in typical Marriott breakfast. I love the marriotts and am not saying bad things about them, this hotel is just a step above. The Swimming Pool area is much larger than you would get at the Fairfield, with plenty a room to swim, but not as nice as the Disney value resorts such as the Art of Animation Resort.
The Disney value resorts are cheaper, over here you get a little bit more of the Orlando adult life with still plenty of Mickey Mouse sprinkled in. You can go over to the theme parks in less than ten minutes to get all of the best of Walt Disney. The good thing is you get to leave Walt disney property and go to the adult playground area where it is fun For all Ages.
The restaurants within walking distance are so numerous I can't even imagine going through The Mall. We drove our bikes all away down to the Del Taco which is near Citywalk universal, as it's a lovely area for bike riding on the sidewalk system. This is a prime place to stay, very nice indeed for all in this entertainment city.
