We think Lake Buena Vista is the better place to book a hotel if you going to the Theme Parks. The location makes it really easy, and we like that. You don't have to spend any time at all out on interstate highway four since you are staying on seven seas lagoon.
I did enjoy taking the Monorail system around to Epcot, what a great hotel amenity. Two queen-size beds and a nice miniature refrigerator is about all you need when you're on the go so busy all day long. When you're back at the hotel at all, you will be swimming most likely in the fabulous Splash pools.
In my opinion the upgrade rooms are really needed as everything is pretty darn sweet. The room we got was a standard room and it looked out over the parking lot, but so what we were gone all day. When you get back to the room you shower up and then you're out doing something else. The busy location is nice because there's action everywhere around the pool, there's always something going on. The deluxe hotels are really good if you split with four people, the cost is not bad at all.
The big payoff is in the wonderful attitude you will have when you stay here as each day is exciting. Every moment that you walk around is a lot better because there's this whole Disney vibe and excitement as people come and go from the theme parks.
